If it is condensation it's caused by the colder air being pulled in by the boiler meeting with the milder air in the aps tube, not normally to do with rain water as the position of the Venturi would make it difficult for rain water to get into the tubes, my understanding anyway

Your problem could be condensation in the tubes/aps, I've fitted a deflector plate on a Worcester before for this problem (think it was the 28 si boiler) cured the problem which on previous history was happening only in colder months. Ps don't know if Worcester do this for your model

S is not a fault code but a status code of what the boiler is doing, if the s.30 code is showing the boiler is not getting a signal from controls, Ps fault code on that boiler would begin with F. If it works ok at night I'd be checking the controls first

As above, but if you turn the ch knob down a little then back up and the spindle is ok, you should see the display temp rising to high 70s/80 degrees

Yes when you press the I the display will show you the status (s code) the boiler is at, what it's doing

Press the I button when the boiler goes to low flame, this will tell you what status the boiler is at, ie s53 is a code that would suggest poor circulation. S codes will be in your manufacturers instructions
