    Fascia capping problem

I've done a window section to test and this works with a jigsaw. I'm going to need to run a guide (Old bit of facia cut off thats straight enough screwed on temporarily) to get the Jigsaw running straight. I'm assuming I won't need to treat the cut end of the fascia wood if being covered up???

    Fascia capping problem

Hi, I have currently got wood facia board grooved with a ply soffit in. I did my downstairs garage to learn all the requirements to cap/add soffit trim etc and that went ok, I just screwed the soffit on the lip of existing fascia and threw the capping over to support it. I'm doing the roof...

How bad is this dry verge install?

I'm sorry OP, I'd hate to be in this position. It's why I've not put dry verge on my existing wet verge that cracked when moving tiles to add eaves protectors. You now are in the position where you know more than the cowboy installing it. Maybe contact citizens advice bureau for some free...

Makita Multi hex screw thread gone

I've got a Maki and the hex key on the bolt has gone so it's stuck. Thinking I grind down either side and get a wrench on the actual bolt OR get a screw extractor. Are there any other options for me to get the bolt off easily or is it this primitive?

    Garage concern

The owner had patio laid to about 30cm then had concrete in the gap (push push push all the time). They just had decking installed over the patio and concrete with a pergola with slanted roof directly running off towards the wall with no gutter. No cavity in there.

    Scaffold options

Other option is I can clamp on the box ends. Just been out to see how the works gone on my garage, eaves protectors work perfectly not a drip on the fascia so they will definately worth the effort.

Hi, Is this normal for a row below the DPC line?

    Scaffold options

I have a ladder to manoeuvre on the opposite sides and it's only 9mm capping not full board. Also The soffit will be hollow board so T&G. The platform is more to get above the gutter line and do the Eaves protectors and get the tiles pushed back. Mitower two man is 1.6M Wide, i've got an 8m...

    Scaffold options

I've only just done the back of my garage to learn how to do it. Once you have it punched in with two pins it will be stable. Put an overhanging bit of soffit or fascia on box end side so it lines up. Towers can take two people so I might rope in someone after a crate of beer lol.

    Scaffold options

This is my problem area, I may just get a quote for this side of the property. It's in the pictures (google maps crp sorry) The apex starts 3/4 over the side of the house so a cherry may work and I could work on the tiles, not preferred though. Hire for a platform for 19 days is 500 odd, on...

    Scaffold options

Hi, Ive started fascia/guttering and am seeking some scaffold options. Had a quote for my detached 4 bed @ 1800 quid for a month . That included; -Front back that is two storey working height -Side that is 6m to a flat gable section -Over apex garage Sounded expensive to me. Other...

    Gable verge pointing

I was intending on patching up, I went in a bit ham fisted on the first tile here and it manifested. On the dry verge option I am looking into this and on how to install these on existing tiles and I am not sure it will work based on the battens only running up to the end of the fascia.
