The plumber has let himself down, instead of using a 300 female double end flexi he has used female and compression flexi. Purchase a 300 flexi with both end connections female and this will fit straight onto the tap and ballafix and also do away with the plastic pipe.

Its your HEX, ask your engineer to clean/change it.

Changing the EV is a pig on this boiler, Its quite simply boiler off the wall. Needless to say only an GR engineer should deal with it.

The fact its a condensing boiler won,t make no difference in the it heats water and heating. I would say your system does need looking at in the way of sludge or blockages.
