Iv got to defend engineers here, on several occasions Iv gone over and over the procedure to use the boiler and I still get the expected phone call that the heating is not working. Even with simple controls, Seems some people just need a bit more time.

Get a pair of grips on the plastic nut, get someone to hold the waste inside the bath with a large flat head screw driver and undo the plastic nut (anti clock wise) with grips.

Turn nothing on the picture you have downloaded. Follow the pipes down you should have a steel braided hose (filler loop)with two plastic levers each side. These are the ones that need to be opened, be sure to close them when the pressure indicates 1.5 bar or less.

Well yes but it seems he don,t want the heating to come on in the morning what ever reason and surely its his decision. My dads the same he never uses a timer, just turns it on and off as and when.

Check wiring harnesses to PCB earths etc. Make sure all contacts are clean and free from corrosion.

PRV letting by or Expansion vessel at fault. Water dripping from the overflow is PRV letting by. Have both checked.

Firstly the noise sounds like pump or fan, you wont need to change both, What you need to do is get a recommended RGI/engineer, This will give you peace of mind a guarantee and you wont put yourself or your family in danger. You wont need a new boiler.
