Shelving, so it's useless cupped. I may have to discard it.

I bought some spruce boards, 180mm wide, 16mm deep. One was badly cupped but I've managed to flatten it by soaking it and placing a heavy weight on it. It looks fine now but how do I dry it to avoid it cupping or splitting?

The Protimeter Mini is about £180, unless I'm looking at the wrong one. There are much cheaper ones around £20 though.

Thanks. Two questions: 1. Best way to check for damp? 2. Best wallpaper paste for this? I should have said that the wallpaper appears to be fully stuck to the lining paper, if that makes any difference to the repair.

Hi. Can someone send me a link to 600 grit sanding block or tell me where I can buy one? I can't find anything online. I just want to do a final sanding after the last coat on varnish on some shelves. There's a very faint roughness that I want to remove.
