Why range rate a modulating boiler?

    Now it’s 43 at 4 degrees

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

Yes. But I never really do. But increasing heating curve changes the target flow tempreture. It is a way to increase room temp quicker. I do find rad fans in larger rooms help speed up heat up times. The only time when the heating curve fails is when you have decent temps in winter but it’s...

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

I’m actually using 0.8 in a 1960 home. At the moment it’s working ok. It’s always hitting tempreture. I find a low heating curv works better if your at home a lot, and hence you have a low set back set back tempreture. A low heating curb struggles heating quickly enough when you have been away...

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

I tested this. When it nears your set room tempreture it decreases target flow temp (and I presume this is the point it’s modulating). I do think work out your max target flow is important. Most advice is to set your thermostat to 24 on a cold day and test. I disagree. To save money you set...

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

I did a test by range rating down to 5kw it was a little slow to heat up for my liking so I left it at 6kw. Remember the 1.5kw for radiator only apples to very leaky homes, running a flow temp of 75. With smallish radiators. I found if you have set your trv well(never typically turn them off...

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

Reason I left hot water is because the manual of cylinder advises what is best output for cylinder size. I had a 260L cylinder and I left it at 22kw. I think my engineer would have set this. That’s one thing he set correctly. I did notice with vaillant. It’s best to leave pump on auto and range...

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

Yes . I have a system boiler. With hwp. You can individually range rate the hot water too. But I left that as is.

Why range rate a modulating boiler?

Interesting. I have a large 5 bed and range rated my 27kw vaillant system boiler down to 6kw. Seems to be fine. I might even try a bit lower

    vaillant 832 range rating

Sorry to reply to this old thread. I think it’s best to range rate. I’ve read vaillant use gas at full power and modulate when nearing tempreture. Also range rating also determines speed of pump which should be set to auto.

Dhw partial load - hot water range rating vaillant

I have a vaillant boiler which I’m tweaks (627 system boiler) Range rating talks a lot about d.00 but I noticed there’s also DHW partial load d.77 It’s set at 22kw , I have a 250L cylinder which I have in for 2 times a day for 30 minutes. What should I set it too?

    Do I need planning permission

I am propposing 2.4 extension however it is attached to an existing extension. However the existing extension didn’t project rear elevation further. Do I need planniing? Please see image

If display is 55 degrees on vaillant boiler is that when boiler is at most efficient?

Just as a update I actually set d.00 to 9kw and set pump speed back to auto (rather then 1.53%) I seen it was setting pump to 15%

I have a vaillant 627 with vsmart. Do I need to range rate? Is auto ok?

Is it possible to get a pump to support a overflow pipe

Is it possible to get a pump to support a overflow pipe

We have a pump for the condensate pipe. However the engineer installed put a overflow pipe outside. We don’t like its position , the way it’s stuck out. So we was wondering if we can change the pump that supports a condensate AND a overflow pipe rather then a condensate pipe alone(as it is now)

Is it possible to get a pump to support a overflow pipe

is it possie to get a pump for a condensate pipe to support a overflow pipe? Someone mentioned a grandfoss

If display is 55 degrees on vaillant boiler is that when boiler is at most efficient?

interesting the vsmart doesn’t give much information about boiler at all. But the myvuabt pro app only advance engineers can install shows a lot more info

If display is 55 degrees on vaillant boiler is that when boiler is at most efficient?

I tested the vsmart energy usage again. It says 8kwh gas but my smart meter shows 11ish. I think it’s a estimate based on the amount of time heating is on. It does t consider target flow tempreture which in this weather(which is very cold) the boiler has decided to set it on low.
