    Hager MCB to RCBO compatibility?

Does anyone know which RCBO's fit in place of the MT series MCB's? There's already an MTN MCB on the RCD side, but the only spare way is on the non RCD side. Older RCBO's coming up in my searches for a B16 are the AD107, ADB116 & ADN116.

Second CU, where to mount and what cable to run?

I would have suggested via an adaptable box like a Wiska, then you can gland & earth the SWA.

    Bulb for Zanussi oven

Yes, rocky nailed it in one. It's a G9. This should do the job. https://www.toolstation.com/philips-oven-lamp/p91273?store=MH&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqJXo25fw6wIV0-ntCh0s7AThEAQYBCABEgJrrvD_BwE

Sorry, I meant G4, but should pull out like these ones

    Bulb for Zanussi oven

Looks just like a regular G10 Halogen lamp to me. Should pull straight out, no twisting, although there may be a glass cover over the front.

Second CU, where to mount and what cable to run?

You sound clued up, but this is not a DIY job. Should be done by an electrician and is notifiable. Without reading all the way through I'd say your options here could be 16mm SWA from the Henley to the new board running no more than 63A. Or work out the max demand for the loft and do a calc to...

    Installing consumer unit.

I agree, they are dear. Ideal for tall kitchen cupboards though and the lids will close themselves, unlike the one in the OP.

    Installing consumer unit.

I'd get neck ache reading off the breakers and looking at the labels. Why not just fit one of these, then at least the customer won't think it's p*ssed.

Take power from a light switch

The picture Andy requested should tell if there's a Neutral at the switch. Alternatively it may be an option to explore taking the supply from the light fitting.

Wiring a second workshop (Advice on consumer units and armoured cable)

Completely agree. It was more a general idea for the OP without seeing the job. The calcs will confirm what is really required as it's difficult to get a feel for the job with limited info to go on. Re my suggestion of feeding from the main board via an RCBO. I am more of a belt & braces kind...

Fuse/MCB, Lamp/bulb, tomato/tomatoe. I've given up arguing the toss with customers as it doesn't get me anywhere

Wiring a second workshop (Advice on consumer units and armoured cable)

As a quick overview of the job I would:- -Change the 20A Wylex MCB for a 20A RCBO fed from a non-RCD terminal in the main board. -I wouldn't worry about discrimination between RCD's once the garage circuit is separated from the RCD in the main board. -Reduce the 32A MCB in garage board to a 20A...

    Fuses

Possibly ripped out after the original rewireable fuses were swapped out to find that it would no longer fit. Maybe fit a backless cabinet over it with a mirrored front.

Did someone say the decimal point was in the wrong place o_O

Question re Wylex fuse box and new socket.

I'd budget for around £500 give or take £100. All depends on what testing he see's fit before changing the board and what the board consists of i.e. SPD, RCBOS, or just dual RCD.

Question re Wylex fuse box and new socket.

As above. I'd advise fitting an RCD socket.

    Is BAS still around?

He was rude to me a few times when I was new and was the reason why I left as I wasn't prepared to put up with the attitude while I was at college and trying to pick the brains on here. Not good for the future of the forum as I otherwise appreciate the level of knowledge in this group. And...

Brown to red. Blue to black. Keep the green/yellow wire out of the way so it's safe. Unless the light fitting is metal, in which case earth it.
