    Smart TRVs

I have Drayton Wiser. Each smart TRV is it's own zone and has it's own timer. If you want two to come on at the same time, just set the same on/off times You can use an external thermostat to control multiple smart TRVs This would normally be used where you have multiple rads in one large room...

    Loft insulation and boarding choices

For ease of install have a look at loft flooring packs to go with the Loft Zone system. https://www.diy.com/departments/natural-chipboard-loft-panel-l-1-22m-w-0-33m-t-18mm-pack-of-3/1673191_BQ.prd Easy to get into the loft. No or very little cutting required. Someone doing the same here

Maybe a bit late but why not fit a thicker laminate to get to the height you want?

Using a radios USB charging socket

I use A male to A male for a touchscreen my company supports. Used for touch data. Not very common. First time I had come across it in my many years in IT. https://www.cablesdirect.co.uk/usb-c495/usb2-0-c496/cables-c497/usb-2-0-type-a-m-to-type-a-m-data-cable-p6766

    Dell desktop - Intrusion switch

It logs if someone has opened the cover. More usual on business machines and servers where covers should not be removed by users.

How to remove stubbon brake dust from wheels?

I used a mini brass brush on mine for very stubborn dust. Worked well and didn't seem to mark the wheels. Think mine was a cheap set from Wilkos. Similar to this https://uk.farnell.com/duratool/d00220/brush-set-wire-mini-6pc/dp/1447548

Cleaning central heating with partial plastic piping ?

No idea on the cleaners sorry. Probably all similar. Screwfix had an offer if I bought two Sentinel products so went for that. Seemed to work for me. Pretty sure my old boiler is quieter. Doing it yourself, you can take your time. I parked Mrs Mc in the lounge with an electric oil rad. :)

Cleaning central heating with partial plastic piping ?

DIYer I left X400 in mine for 2-3 weeks. 25+ year old boiler. Too long and it stops working I believe. Drained (very dark), filled with water, ran for a few hours, drained (straw) and then refilled with X100 inhibitor. Also fitted a magnaclean on the boiler return. Possibly worth removing and...

    Continuous Inline Bathroom fan available?

Might be worth having a look at a PIV system. Don't know a lot about them other than what I have read https://www.permagard.co.uk/advice/positive-input-ventilation-the-pros-and-cons Nuaire and Vent Axia seem to be the most common makes.

Patio Door Making A Screeching Noise?

There is a very high pitched squeak/squeal. If you are older 50+ (as I am), quite common that you can't hear high pitched noises. Google suggests PTFE lubricant for patio doors.

Glue click laminate joints. Used cheap 7mm

Neighbour lives alone. Not likely to get the abuse, spills, etc as a young family. I get that laminate is not the best solution but plenty do use it in kitchens.

Glue click laminate joints. Used cheap 7mm

Doing a kitchen for my neighbour on a very tight budget. Picked up some used 7mm laminate free. Some of the joints are coming apart. There is some damage to some of the locking mechanisms. No spare boards! I had some 50mm aluminium tape with me and used that face up to tape the the undersides...

What type of TRV is this, and what electronic or smart replacement can I use?

Does the flat have it's own thermostat? How does your daughter 'leave the heating on'? Do you have separate boilers for the house and flat? If the flat has it's own thermostat, you could possibly move the Nest in there to give you remote control. This is assuming the flat radiators only heat...

What type of TRV is this, and what electronic or smart replacement can I use?

The Wiser TRVs come with the Danfoss adapter. I binned mine as we have Drayton valves. Can the Kasa TRVs trigger the boiler like Wiser, Tado and Evo can? They look more like programmable TRVs. A slightly more advanced version of your EQ-3

    Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

My 2008 Mazda 6 had sensors in each wheel but would not tell you which was causing an error. All in the glovebox when I bought the car. Snapped valve stems (found some replacement stems) I replaced all the coin cells. Had to be dug out of the sensor (silicon type potting) and replacements...

    Tado / Bypass Radiator

Only a DIYer The 'other valve' is the lockshield Opening the TRV fully will make sure it doesn't close and stop flow. If you have a look at balancing, it will probably explain the flow better. Silly analogy Conveyor belt with sushi Wide open lockshield and that rad will eat almost every piece...
