    What Plastic Fittings are these?

Thanks Dan. They are all over house pipework. What's best to replace them with given that it's plastic pipe that's there already.

    What Plastic Fittings are these?

Hi, I'm looking to change the taps in the bathroom basin. Can someone please let me know: What fittings these are. How do I separate them, do I need a specific tool. Can I still get them if not what can I use instead. All help and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim

Vokera linea 24 losing Pressure - Solved

Well finally got to the bottom of it. I checked the pipes and could not find any leaks. Upon reading other threads some suggest the main heat exchanger could be leaking. However there was never any sign of water under the boiler. On looking through the inspection glass I could see some of the...

Vokera linea 24 losing Pressure - Solved

Thanks for the reply. I've put some washing liquid on the valve and there's no sign of air coming out. No sign of damp patches on any ceilings which I would expect if its losing .5bar every 24hrs. The only place I've not checked is under the floor, this was a last resort but may now need doing.

Vokera linea 24 losing Pressure - Solved

Hi All, September 2017 I had the expansion vessel, PRV and AAV replaced as the boiler, Vokera linea 24, was losing pressure and water coming out of the schrader valve. Everything was fine for 4 months however it started losing pressure again, this time about .5bar every 24hrs. I checked the...

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Thanks for the reply @picasso. Thats my concern that the fan is not supplying sufficient pressure to activate the APS, but I'll leave that to the engineer to diagnose, if it is that. Glow Worm they no longer stock the fans so its not covered in the fixed price repair. However I have asked my...

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Yes @easyflow that's what I was thinking. However they appear to be able to get it going but soon afterwards it would cut out again. 1st engineer - replaced diverter valve head. Did not cure problem. 2nd engineer - stated pcb(did not replace) 3rd engineer - attended and stated APS, had to...

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Yes Terry that's exactly what happens. Been running since yesterday afternoon. He has kept the heating on, not timed, as he fears that if it went off it may not restart. Hopefully PCB replacement will sort it out. Thanks for all the replies and I'll report back if this solves the problem.

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Thanks @oldbuffer. Just heard back from insurance company. Glow Worm are sending out an engineer on Saturday to fit a gas valve and PCB, which they have managed to source. They can't source a fan from their suppliers. I'll ask my son to see if the engineer will check this to make sure its...

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Cheers Terry, The light are not flashing at all when it has "cut out". Even turning the knob to reset doesn't bring any of the lights on. However when I go through the procedure I have outlined to get it going again the "reset" and "burner" light both work as normal. Its almost as if...

    Glow Worm Micron 50FF

Thanks for the reply Terry. Scenario 2 fits the bill however to clarify. When it stops working ie fault returns and will not ignite(even when reset), the fan will continue to run constantly until you turn the boiler off at the fused connection unit. When you turn the power back on the fan...

Aerial Installation - Sleeve Anchor Bolts Vs Through Bolts

Once again thanks to everyone for their advice. My own aerial was installed by a local contractor 16 years ago. 18" T & K brackets, 8 Ft x 2" pole and I have had no problems with it. However most contractors in my daughters area appear to want on average £140 and up for the installation to a...

Aerial Installation - Sleeve Anchor Bolts Vs Through Bolts

Thanks for the replies. SimonH2 - I looked at the coach bolts and plugs but thought these might not be strong enough for the size of bracket and pole, however it's reasuring to hear of your own experience. The website that you link to has some excellent information.

Aerial Installation - Sleeve Anchor Bolts Vs Through Bolts

Hi, I'm going to install an outside aerial at my daughters house. I did look into a company doing this however I can buy, install and distribute the signal around the house cheaper myself. I'll be using 24" T & K brackets to support a 12ft x 2inch alloy pole. What are the best fixings to fit...
