    I have used a volt stick taped to the end of length of plastic conduit a few times to check high floodlights

    Reminds me of a couple of faults I attended years ago, cooker circuit blowing fuses intermittently, householders daughter reported banging under bedroom floor, found a molten mass of cables in a hole in the joist with a wood screw through them, must have been there for years and gradually wore...

    Four NHS letters arrived today, both Mrs CB and I got the all clear from our two yearly bowel screening, I am not affected by diabetic retinopathy, last weeks scan, both my hip replacements are holding up (10 years) next check up in five years,. God bless the NHS

    When mother died, she was in ICU hooked up to ventilators, drips etc, doc told me she was near the end, I said she did not want prolonging, we went home and returned later, all tubes & drips were removed, pretty sure she had a shot of morphine, died peacefully

    Any outdoor sockets, lights or other equipment, first place I look, also a couple of instances of similar faults were caused by water ingress in junction boxes from drips from leaking pipes
