Bobasd, thank you for your reply. Following the guidance from the other posts I have filled up the cistern a little and can now see the dripping. I've taken a video clip and will upload in a minute.

    Concealed toilet cistern leak

Right. Thank you JP and TP. I thought the leak was from the feed because the leak starts when there's a bit of water in the cistern but the leak stops once the water is out. But now that its been pointed out to me there are stain marks on the flush pipe whilst the feed pipe looks fine.

    Plaster or cement?

Dear dann09, I'm sure all is very sensible. My post was possibly helpful. Some panels are fixed on battens. If the pvc panels are batten types, then there maybe no requirement to make good the existing wall cover which saves a job and cost. Also, removing the existing render and adding...

    Plaster or cement?

Hello. This reply may or may not be helpful. Hope some or all is. Look at the pvc panels you will be fitting and find out on what base those are fitted to the walls. Are they fitted to battens or wall clips perhaps? Then consider the current condition of the existing wall finish. If...

    Plasterboard wall fixings

Good evening. Thank you for reading. A final section of plasterboard is being fixed in place but unlike the other boards fixed flat securely, the final board is against a slightly uneven wall which, with the insulation underneath, means that the board is slightly curved outwards from top...

Chisel fitting for drill, removing render

Thank you for your reply Stevethespreader, thanks for the suggestion of that power washer. This afternoon I found that by hammering the layers of paint, it blows it quite substantially. So it can then be removed easily or with some chiselling. Time consuming but it can be done. Perhaps...
