Lights Out: Altech (?) programmable box

If you have main power already to the programmer then you need buy a new programmer. But how do you know if there is a 230v power to the programmer? You can’t use your eyes obviously, and you can’t use your hands to touch electrical to see if it is live. So you need an electrical tester at least.

    Ideal Heat 15 Boiler

From the error code I can see it is a Logic or its equivalent not an Icos. The L2 or F2 means ignition or frame failure, need to check a few things, so you need a boiler repair man, or call Ideal fixed price repair. As it is intermittent, so better to wait for it to become persistent.

Hi @picasso , one case in last week, a Vaillant ecoTEC MK1 system boiler installed in a loft space, it need top up on a daily basis. I made total three visits, ie, isolated the boiler from the rest, of course the system wasn't running, surprised me there were no leaking on both sides. So...

    Heating Tweaks

It is safe. The default setting is 6 cycles per hour, will give you bit more accurate room temperature control over 3 cycles per hour, I don't see any point on reducing your boiler over all run time.
