    Alloy v Steel Wheels

I had a sticker on the spare on my Citroen C5 and Peugeot 508 , both of which had full size steel wheels of a slightly different size, can't remember the numbers now. I wrecked a locking wheel bolt when the locking key slipped, common fault with them. Burnerman, I thought you ran a full time...

What are you applying the filler with?

    Which wax?

Does anyone believe in the "paint protection" that car dealers sell? It's only a polish and you can buy Supaguard kits on Ebay quite cheaply. Plus you have to go back for a top up treatment every year, ie a quick coat of polish!

    Alloy v Steel Wheels

Which tyre/wheel combination would have the bigger rolling radius? That would affect the acceleration.

    Uneconomic Repair

I suppose they'll argue it's a no claim bonus and not a no blame bonus. Very unfair IMO. I suppose you could argue that if they have recovered their outlay in full from the other side, then you haven't made a "claim" ?

    Alloy v Steel Wheels

The spare is normally limited to a lower speed and there should be a yellow sticker on it. At least you haven't got a skinny spacesaver. The locking wheel nut key is best used with hand tools .

    Which wax?

Someone here was implying MER was no good but they wouldn't say why. I'm a convert to Meguiars paste wax, no hard rubbing!

    Uneconomic Repair

Not really because she needs to be blame free to recover the extra charge and if she is, the charge won't be applied anyhow.

Keyless entry and what will happen?

We in Surrey are supposed to have the worst roads in the UK for potholes. Surrey County Council seems to have frittered all the money away on vanity projects.

Have I do the right tap washers fitted?

Is the washer the same size as the jumper it sits on? This may take a washer with rounded edges, might be called a Delta washer.

Keyless entry and what will happen?

Anything for a gimmick these days. The salesmen used to point out the cup holders, now it's the 12" touch screen. I want a car that glides over Surrey's pothole strewn roads in comfort, little more.

    VW Caddy AGAIN FFS

An A series will rattle on till it dies. Some of these modern engines have 2 turbos or one turbo and a supercharger. I can't see them lasting longer than the warranty period.

Champion petrol mower, cuts off after 10 miunts from start

When it cuts out, is the spark plug wet or sooty?

I'd clean out the filter housing sooner rather than later. Water contamination won't do your engine any good.

Keyless entry and what will happen?

On an automatic the engine doesn't stop when the gear changes. My ex AA friend tells me thieves can do something via the OBD port to enable the car to start once it's been stopped. Presumably you just use the stop start button without needing the key. Somehow you get a new key cut. Auto...

Golf 2013 Mk 7 rear washer blocked

I expect they are Torx screws, probably T20. At the risk of being boring, when I pulled my pump out I couldn't understand why I didn't get a sleeve full of water. Seems the grommet had a strainer built in and it was that which was blocked with the blue jelly. Cleaned it, flushed the tank ...

    Northamptonshire Council is going bust

I believe Surrey County Council could be in a similar situation. No money but enough for a "loan" to an art gallery. Apparently we have the worst roads for potholes in the country.
