Hello I am installing multi-zones on my central heating. I have a Vaillant Ecotec Pure 830... I want to fit in an auto bypass valve in case the pump continues to work after my zone valves are closed. Which setting on the bypass valve do I need to set? It has the following setting...

So if I turn the hot water, while it tries to igniting, if I press that small button under the lever, it should do something... how can test this?

Ok this is the micro switch, the white lever above seems up all the time. Is this normal.

Yep, did check gas.. also, ignition cable are in.. i clicking ..... but no ignition...

I could smell something burnt in where the pcb is.. maybe because of the wiring, and fuse pop, it may have fried something that’s stopping the gas valve from working This nightmare is getting worse. Now I do need a new PCB! ?

Hey just recently added a thermostat... everything working... 4 hours later, boilers not igniting... it tries to IGNITE then illuminated a red light then orange illumination.. see attached image... Timer is all on too

Hi it was all working.. after several hours, ignition light is red, hear a click, the. Orange light .. see pic what does this mean?

UPDATE! I went back to my Dads to check the PCB fuses.... i used my multimeter and one was blown.. but didn't look like it... also, before, i changed all fuses with the spare fuses that were plugged onto the casing.... so i must have switch the blown fuse with spare blown fuse! Some idiot 10...

Hi Just found the manual online... Looks like we got the wiring correct.

I just bought the PCB. it looks like a straight forward replacement. I really did the wiring correctly as posted yesterday. I tested it with my meter. 3 and 4 to new stats... every thing perfect as what we said... the setup i did for the new thermostat supposes to have worked and didn't...

sorry its not a volt pen. its a Preptec AC DC 12-250V Voltage Tester Detector. it detects the volage, 240v etc.... i just used a multimeter and it shows over 200v

yep, i used a voltage pen and checked the L terminal on the pcb and it was live... from downstairs, when i turned on the electric, all i heard was a pop. ... so i assumed it was the fuse...

yep, i replaced the fuses too checked each one, only were 3 i could find and not blown.. but i replaced all 3 and still not starting up..

I’m buying a new pcb, only 30£ ... it’s my dads house,.. and I messed up his heating. I shouldn’t have touched it.. it was bad news from the start. Pcb replacement seems straight forward? Most are colour coded will take pics before too...

I did not do anything apart from remove the 3 and 4... made a small jumper wire from 3 to 4... even a new pcb on ebay has the same... see attached.

Sorry, I don’t under stand .. just jumper from 3 and 4 ... I wanted to omit the thermostat, I just gave up and took it out.. so I connected 3 and 4... The black cover over pcb shows a small diagram. See attached

I did the above and still nothing... so I went ahead and did a jumper between 3 and 4 ... turned on electric and heard a pop.... nothing turns on. I have a vailliant Turbo max 282E. I looked for a pcb images for this boiler and as standard, 3 and 4 are connected... So why did it blow.
