    EV are they worth it?

I'm amazed how many people have bought into ev based on the "better for the environment" mantra. Some basic research would show that it's not the amazing planet saving device that we're led to believe and yet like sheep people are jumping on the bandwagon.

A Warning To Many - They Are Not Your Mates = Energy Companies/Smart Meters

I agree with all the above, we're in for a shafting and they're currently laying the foundations to do so. Electric cars are not saving the planet, supplies of oil and thus fuel are dwindling so they need to earn that revenue elsewhere. Electricity price hikes are inevitable when everyone has one.

I'd be surprised if you can remove it without damaging those tiles. You could offer some tiles up above it and see what you think. I've tiled above trim before for a customer who changed their minds and tbh it didn't look that bad with the trim. It almost became a small feature but as it was...

They're normally screwed into a fitting. As you can't see and you're part way into a refurb why not dig around it as it enters wall to see what you're dealing with. You can always fill it afterwards

Paint for garden decking & pergola

From experience the decking paint will wear off where footfall is heavy. Tried osmo oil and various others, osmo lasted longest before showing wear. Depends on your colour choice but I quite like the cuprinol ducksback products for external wood. Colours are limited but it stands up to the...

    Shocking bathroom company

As a kitchen/bathroom fitter I regularly get asked in the big sheds if I want to go on their books. They hand out a price list of what they charge and allocate time wise per task which means any fitter is time pressured to complete their task in the time frame or be out of pocket. I haven't...
