    sounds to me as if the diverter is passing,with heating off turn hot tap on and check to see if heating flow pipe gets hot,if it does it needs a new diverter valve

    u need a new diverter valve.part number- complete diverter inc hw flow valve-248061 if the hw flow valve is ok then u just need the diverter body part number-248062 p.s the hw flow valve is the brass unit that the pin pushes out from

    is the boiler a combi instant 80e or just a combi 80e??they have different diverter valves.

    with regards to luke warm hw......turn hot tap on and does the heating flow pipe get hot??if so it will need a new diverter

    kantago-where is this grubscrew located that u mean?? clf- leaking from wot "o"ring?? the grub screw i mean is located below dhw flow valve that keeps the flow valve attached to main diverter valve..... :?

    sounds as if its leaking from the main diverter body,its a new diverter valve im afraid :( straightforward to change tho if u have good access on the left hand side :)

    replace control p.c.b if it hasnt been changed,baxi had an issue with them shortin on the board.p.s the boiler is a bag of nails-the h-exchanger will leak next,then the flow switch etc etc :)

    Waite for the loud rumble thru the pipes then turn the stat off!yes if its shooting thru vent pipe then its boiling over.do it a couple of times then it will shift eventually.

    U need 2 chk 2 see if u have a blocked cold feed,boil it up a couple more times,if that fails ure cold feed is blocked

    Yeah get on contract with british gas,its a safe bet if u cant afford 2 replace it.when these get 2 a certain age they breakdown consistently all the time.parts are very expensive for them
