    Rewire.

Is the thinking not that you might be connected to a neighbours installation which does not have a lost neutral? Like your bonding compared to your TT.

    5w 700lumens Vs 7w 720lumens

I don't like them. I suppose that's it really but: they are a pain to fit, spacing neatly while avoiding joists, running cables across joists, they ruin the ceiling with large holes all over the place, they spoil and negate some of any insulation, etc.

    Rewire.

I don't think the two are are related. The substantial conductors only became required when the DNOs failed to maintain their cables and lumbered everyone with TN-C-S. Back then it was normal.

    how much on 32a

However, it will be less than that when paired with two ovens. Say the two ovens were each 3.6kW - also 7.2kW. 14.4kW after diversity is 25A; half of which is 12.25A.

There's always someone. No. There are active RCD sockets which are themselves NVR sockets.

Are these cables ok to be left like this?

Not unless you screw it to something and use cable clips to secure the cable. If they will fit inside. These are good but I don't think Toolstation sell them. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/ASJ501.html

I find it nicer/easier than 2.5mm² as well. What difference does clipping direct make?

    Understanding fused spur

Anything. It appears some people's argument against making 4mm² compulsory for ring circuit spurs is that not many people have any.

Don't fit downlights is my advice.

When new things become compulsory do people think it unreasonable on the grounds that not many people have been using them?

It is adequately protected by the 20A MCB. No one seems to know for certain. It doesn't matter.

    Understanding fused spur

Or six. You are all missing the point. There is no reason to have 'guidance' stating that only one single socket should be on a spur but, as they do state that, it would be a better 'guide' to state that 4mm² should be used for spurs.

    Understanding fused spur

I didn't say they did insist on anything; I said why do they not insist on 4mm² for the spur?

    Understanding fused spur

Yes, I just thought when reading about the shower upgrade on too small a cable. IF the reason for only one single socket on a (2.5mm²) spur is to prevent two singles being increased to two doubles, why then do they not just insist on 4mm² for all spur cables and with reference to the shower...

Trying to upgrade house fuse to 100A

Which cable are you talking about - before or after the meter? The size of cable is measured in cross-sectional area of the copper bits - not the diameter although of course that can be approximately calculated.
