Just out of interest, why fire rated? they are much more expensive.

    White moulded doors

As xr4x4 said I think you have fitted them the wrong way around. Check for markings as the wood insert for the lock is only on one side. I fitted some cheap BBQ jobbies and had no problem with them. The hinge screws only need a nip up, easy to overtighten them.

    wall hung toilet

The grey painted frame from the cistern to the floor comes with the toilet. The silver galvanised parts are unistrut. The white pan connector comes with the kit and from memory I think this can be rotated to point out of the sides. It is however clamped into the frame so you cant move it towards...

    wall hung toilet

I connected the ceiling joists to floor joists with unistrut as in the pics. Sorry I am in a bit of a hurry but it should be clear.

The flush button panel on mine is around 6" square. This is removed and all the components can be removed through it.

    Grades of Copper Pipe?

Its at its densest at 4degc. Once frozen its at its least dense state whatever the temp below 0, 9pc larger by volume than at 4 degc. Had to look into this at christmas because we had some concrete panels blow due to water getting into the dowel holes...

    Ikea kitchen sink waste.

Its a struggle but it can be done fairly neat with a bit of effort. PS I think you have to use Ikear waste on Ikea sinks.

Tiling on caberfloor P5 chipboard advice needed.

I had some success using 6mm nomoreply, its a cement type board but not cheap. Google it. I fitted noggins at 400 centers and have had no problems yet (2 years). I also used BAL powdered products throughout. Again not cheap.

    Laser measure query

I have a Hilti one, I think it was around £130 4 years ago. Very accurate provided it is held level, +/- 2mm over 70 meters. Rubber ends so it can take a drop. If you are looking for somthing cheap I would look at the specification for accuracy. I would think to fit kitchens it needs to be...

    Defective Sleeper Wall

Found the same thing in my house when I went under the floor. I suspect a plumber or electrician has knocked it down to gain access from one side to the other. I jacked up joists with hydraulic car jack and rebuilt with bricks and mortar with gaps in brickwork for air flow. Hope this helps.

self levelling laser. which one do i buy??

    The smell of gas

I suppose. Mdub This was before I started cooking. The normal smell of gas is realy strong (just had a quick sniff) and I had my nose to the unlit burner, no smell. I presume everyone knows natrual gas has no smell until the gas company adds it to enable you to smell an escape. Is it...

    The smell of gas

Nope my nose was working perfectly. It just did not smell. Makes you realise why they add the smell. You could have a house full of gas and not know it. And why would "thats impossible you are in a low pressure area" have anything to do with the lack of odour. And why did they have to...
