Hi All,
I am in the process of trying to get my Vaillant AroTherm Plus 7K to cool..
We have installed the cooling chip in the main ASHP and have activated cooling in the installer mode menu on the vr720f but when we try to get the unit to cool either in manual, timer or by forcing it to cool...
Hi All,
I am curious to know if anyone can protect with some information related to the Vaillant AroTherm plus VWZ AI controller? Does anyone have any suggestions to improve performance here???
EG: I noticed that the DHW pump speed is set to 100% by default. Is this necessary???
Has anyone...
Hi All,
I recently just completed my first installation of a Vaillant AroTherm Plus 7kw ASHP and just noticed that there is an F70 fault on the VWZ AI controller unit?
This is a common issue for Vaillant boilers that need to have a Designated System Number setup. Is this also the case for the...
As far as I can see the immersion should be connected to number 7 on the diagram above... As for the circulation pump... The above drawing suggests number 9 but I am a little uncertain about this as the circulation pump has it's own thermostat and was thinking they may conflict with one another???
Hi All,
I am currently installing a Vaillant AroTherm Plus 7kw Heat pump with a custom built cylinder. Can anyone tell me where I connect the immersion heater??? I have had a look at Vaillants schematics and it’s not clear to me?
I am also a little unsure about the secondary circulation pump...
Hi All,
A very quick question: How do I remove euro cones from the trails of underfloor heating loops? Is there a good way (tool) without destroying the pipe?
I have 2 different sized cones and the older ones really restrict the flow of water due to the reduced size (6mm vs 10mm)
Hope...
It’s strange that the manual doesn’t state that it is only for use with boilers? I just paid £80 for that cable as it sounds like it can be used with all “heat generators”. Another issue is that using a plug is a potential issue in an area that could get wet…
Not so impressed with Vaillant and...
Hi All,
I was wondering if someone can explain to me how you wire up a Vaillant AroTherm Plus with a SensoNET 921 and sensoComfort 720F/2.
I just purchased an accessory for the SensoNET 921 that is used instead of a mains plug adapter. (See image below) As referred to in the SensoNet manual...
Hi again,
The cylinder is not central at all it’s a retro fit so is located in a room away from the original combi boiler and manifold. The original manifold is somewhat central but that means there is a 7m run from the cylinder to the original manifold and then the manifold runs out to each...
@dilalio The plan is to create a radial curcuit from the manifold to the cylinder which is 7m. Creating a secondary loop between the bathroom and manifold is not an option as all pipe goes underfloor construction (concrete)
The pipe is 15mm stainless steel. I am an expat living in Denmark and copper is not really used much any more.
I am planning to increase the pipe size to 22mm just before before it enters the cylinder (1/2 meter) to reduce the flow. One of the main goals of the Heat Geek cylinder is to use...
Hi All, i have a Quick question with regards to a secondary return. I am in the middle of installing an ASHP with a Heat Geek high performance unvented cylinder.
I have a question with regards to where to join the secondary return.
1. Directly into the cylinder
2. Into the Hot water run close...
I have a very tight install for a new retrofit Heat Pump and was wondering if I can have a Spirotech mb3 filter between my unvented cylinder and the T of to my expansion vessel on the return for my heating circuit or is it better to put it on the flow???
Hi All,
I have a question with regards to an unvented Heat Geek Newark Cylinder. I recently saw an install of the New HeatGeek cylinder on the Skill builder YouTube channel and noticed that they had removed a sensor pocket and replaced it with a PRV.

Because the edge of the tiles are not the same colour as the printed pattern on the porcelain tile. So when you put the tile on the top of the step you can see the grey edge…
I am currently considering West Systems G-Flex Epoxy as this seems to be a very strong epoxy solution that can hold up...
Hi All,
I am in the middle of tiling an outdoor patio and for the outdoor steps I need to create a mitre joint along the full length of a 120cm tile to for an L shaped lip (nose).
My plan is to use a coloured epoxy to glue the 2 piece together and then use an epoxy grout to finish. What do...
No! I need the VRG330 pattern… In the video they explain the flow can either come from the square or the triangle but not the circle. This is exactly what I need! The reason for the video was to share information with future readers of the tread…
Yes! I think it can be combined with a ara600 to create a 3 way diverter valve for a high flow installation!

Exactly what I am looking for!
Thanks for all the assistance and comments!
