Even down to the plastic moulding the original one has, it looks identical. Which is the issue, they are just too damn dim. If you are used to the standard UK ones by MK, that you see on cooker or hot water boiler tanks, then these Legrand ones are like an Everyready D cell 1970’s bicycle lamp...

Yes, examined and moved the neon to directly behind the clear cut out, and now held by epoxy and a cable tie. Where it was originally fitted, on the side, in the vertical middle, about 18mm offset from the ‘window’ it was even worse !
