Indesit DI620 dishwasher error code..not what it says...is i

Indesit dishwasher, approx 4 years old
Infrequent us...once a month maybe

Happens on any of the 4 cycles

Lights 1 and 3 Flash and cycle stops
Manual says this is a filter blocked error..but filter is clean..error code even appears with no filter in place

Waste pump works, confirmed by pouring water in, and it gets pumped out.

Machine also starts self filling, and then empties, then stops with error lights flashing

So what is going on here? is there two pumps ...one for wash and one for empty ? or one pump and solenoid valve to divert water to wash nozzles?


What else is likely to cause this?

Any one any experience with these machines?

Circulation pump jammed or open circuit. At the back of the pump in the coiled spring is a slot does it turn easy. If so it could be cap on the side.

I'll have look tomorrow now..Just taken the pipe wrench back to the farm, and need it to get the pipe off and machine out
