Fence Post Mortar - Pointing Patio Slabs

The mortar is 'Carlton - FP ECOMIX' and has no pebbles. I find the 4:1 mix too soft and crumbles/breaks up well within 12/15mths as it tends to be damp/waterlogged most of the time.

Replacing Upvc - Vertical hung tiles

Not alarming others, but my property is a half brick - half timber clad timber framed house. Like many other properties where we are, majority have replaced the timber cladding with Upvc. A minority have done as I wish to do by either totally bricking up all round or brick up the sides and fit...

Can I replace high Conifers with a similar height fence

The actual pathway is higher than the ground level where the conifers are planted and on a slope, where one end of the row even though 3.5mts walkers could see over into the home where as the opposite end of the row is totally private as the pathway is below the planted level of the conifers.

Can I replace high Conifers with a similar height fence

Had a row of conifers across the bottom of our garden for some 30 years approx 3.5mtrs tall which gives us privacy from a public footpath. With the ever increasing dry summers etc, the conifers are suffering (bare/brown) and taking as moisture from the soil the other plants and bushes are...

Has anyone done their own DIY Hot Tub using a 1000L IBC container as seen on YouTube etc. Costs being lower than the Fibreglass type and longer lasting than the improvised paddling pools with pumps and jets. Be interested of how they constructed theirs and what they used for Water/Air jets and...

Mira 8 Mixer Valve - Lubricant

I think its the threads on the Brass assembly that is the route of the problem as it seems as if they get dry where the lubricant don't last. There are no ceramic's in the valve, just O-rings around the rotary temperature spindle and Flow control spindle both of which are brass, and O-rings on...

Mira 8 Mixer Valve - Lubricant

The Mira 8 Mixer Valve as old as it maybe serves us with no issues used with a Shower pump. But periodically the Flow valve (On/Off) binds/sticks where you have to try turn both directions to eventually turn off the shower flow. Whenever this happens, I strip the valve, clean and re-grease...
