How to convert upvc locking feature to regular door?

UPVC door requires key in order open/close the door. It is annoying because if you leave the key inside and shut the door when outside, you get locked out. Can anyone explain how you remove this feature and convert the door to a regular one which opens and closes without a key?

Waste keeps getting stuck in toilet bowl. Why?

No, the water level looks normal. I am sure that you are right. However, this is definitely a design issue as the waste is getting trapped in the bowl. I am pouring large buckets down the loo alongside the 6 litre from the cistern and it is still trapped in the toilet bowl bend. Often the...

Waste keeps getting stuck in toilet bowl. Why?

@Madrab you could be onto something. I will have to double check regarding the water rising during flushing. But off the top of my memory it does rise more than I would expect I also just had a look at the reviews for the toilet and one person mentions that it cloggs easily. As you appear to...

I recently had a new toilet/shower room fitted (none previously there) However, toilet waste keeps getting trapped in the toilet bowl. I keep having to pour a bucket or water and use the toilet brush to rod the waste down. It is not a blockage and the toilet has a strong flush. However...

Do i need to protect gas pipe?

Thanks. I lightly nicked the gas pipe with my multitool about a couple weeks ago. A gas engineer came over to replace a gas valve and pcb on my boiler. He also did a gas tightness test. I mentioned nicking the gas pipe and he without looking at it, he said it would be fine based on the test...

Do i need to protect gas pipe?

Are you saying that i need to keep the gas pipe as close to the surface as possible and not try to bury it behind plasterboard? The existing gas pipe was already pretty flush with the surrounding plasterboard. The cable is for a 24v doorbell, so does reg apply here?

Cavity wall insulation vs insulating plasterboard

I would not insulate the cavity. Too many horror stories. Personally, I would go for IWI. I recently installed this (albeit on a solid wall) and I am very happy with the outcome. The only downsides are the slightly reduced room size. Fixing to dot and dab wall can be annoying and IWI costs more.

Do i need to protect gas pipe?

Got to admit that i knew the answer, i was secretly hoping for a different answer though. Are there any alternatives to using denso tape? I have some old dpc lying around. Can you use that?

Do i need to protect gas pipe?

I need to patch up the dot and dab wall. There is a copper (gas) pipe (marked in red). Is it okay to for gyproc easi filler to come in direct contact with the gas pipe? Or do i need to protect it with something like denso tape?
