    Central Heating flow/pump help

No problem doing that. You've done all you can. If you want you could swap the pump for a 15/60 Could think about adding a magnetic filter if you really want to. I always use Magnacleans although others don't rate them due to perceived build quality. You've a good boiler there. Ted

Another plea for help with a new CH and HW system thread..

S plan is the configuration of the pipework. Basically it controls what the boiler heats, water, rads or both at the same time. Type s plan into Google for a diagram. It is a myth that combi's are cheaper to run. With all the on offs during the day, each time firing at full rate, a combi...

Another plea for help with a new CH and HW system thread..

If you can get 20l a minute into the house, I would be looking at a heat only boiler with an unvented cylinder on an s plan. Add weather compensation to really get the best out of it. An unvented cylinder gives negligible heat where it is sited and would easily run 2 showers at once. You...

Replacing old Baxi floorstanding boiler with a HE Combi

Agree with everything that has been said. That boiler could go on another 20 years. Update all the system controls (trv's, room/cylinder stat), chemical flush and fit a filter and you'll be getting the best out of it. Most important get the thing serviced every year. Ted

    Raising boiler temperature

Hold the phone, how long ago did you increase the stat on the HW cylinder? If the water is already stored at 60 and you have upped the temp recently the boiler won't be disappating it's heat very quickly and will short cycle as you have seen. I'd wait until tomorrow before calling anyone...

You don't have to go for a combi. Nice heat only boiler (maybe in the top of the airing cupboard) is less work and mess. Ted

Very good boiler and worth keeping going. Boards do go on them though. Easy enough for a RGI to diag. and fit new board. Ted

How to fit a Techflange Essex flange for shower pump

Poor guy, got slated in his other posts for using elbows now is getting slated for using bends. For a DIY'er I'd say it's a good job and I have seen some "professionals" do worse, Be proud of what you have done and enjoy your shower. Ted
