Because if its the same on the cold then its a mains flow issue into the property. If not then theres possibly too much restrction through the boiler.

Why are you asking if you can touch it then. Also its going to be very difficult for people on a forum to tell what and where a noise in your boiler is coming from :D

It sounds like the combustion door seals have gone and its tripping the stat hence why you need to wait so long because its cooling down before working for a little while again. The LEDs are an indication of what sort of fault it is. Have you checked what the manual states the fault as?

The flashing light relates to an air flow fault. Something only an RGI should deal with. The water not kicking in is almost certainly a diaphragm failing which usually means new diverter Unfortunatley the best thing would probably call worcester on a fixed price.

Air or steam? Is it when the waters being drawn or after the taps been turned off? Flow switch sticking after tap turned off is pretty common.

You need to insulate the pipes in the loft although the boiler has built in frost protection. So from a temp point of view its probably ok. Loft needs to be properly boarded with decent access and lighting or you may have trouble getting people to work on it in future.

Just replace the diverter valve complete and all your problems will go away
