Thinking about doing som work to my house, its a normal 3 bedroom house with a old WB combi boiler.

Combi works on demand, sp if a tap is open downstaiers i get no hot water upstairs until that tap is switched off.

Is there a way to overcome this apart from some system like Megaflow??

Gosh, do they not teach English in London(just kidding mate). If I'm reading this correctly? No mate an old combi, in fact most combis, can only provide one hot tap at a time.
HTH

Deary me, how simplistic that is.
In the right conditions a combi can supply umpteen hot taps at once, but not as efficiently as one tap at once.
Not, obviously, in the OPs situation.

.

What combi would that be then? , umpteen refers to more than two , not being funny but i suggest you stay clear of that sales counter.

Do you have ample cold with several taps open?
What's the significance of that?
Because if it's the same on the cold then it's a mains flow issue into the property.
You are assuming there is no cold water cistern. This is probably true for a new install combi or unvented HW system, but if the original boiler was an OV which has been replaced at some time by a combi, then there is probably still a cold water cistern in the loft.

Its normal practice to do away with CWSC when converting a system.
Do you leave them in place still. Why? What good is a bathroom with unbalanced supplies.

And you know for certain that no combi boiler could supply "more than two" hot taps?

And, as stated previously, I have not manned a trade counter for many years.
