Currently going through a refurb on our first house and its came time to look at the hot water system,

The House - 4/5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms built 1990's
Currently the house has a worcester greenstar 28 combi boiler fitted not sure if this is the original boiler or not. The hot water system is fed via two small hot water tanks one of ground floor one on the 1st floor and cold water is fed via mains pressure.

I am trying to find out if possible i could get rid of the hot water tanks and just run the system as a coventional combi system heating on demand or at set times - Is the installed boiler up to the task, or go down the route of installing a megaflow system and replacing the tanks with one larger unit

A combi boiler is mains fed for the hot water.

Do you have a hot water cylinder aswell?

You need to look at your complete heating system ,a combi will not provide the needs for a three bathroom house

A chat with a local RGI would be in order here

Now is the time to do this job properly as retrospectively doing it will be a nightmare and hugely expensive compared to now when you are renovating the property
