Parts are about £15 Make sure the vessel is checked as well. Its uncommon for the valves to just start letting by for no reason. Takes 20 mins to change the valve and recharge the vessel if needed.

Some boilers need the vessel recharging once in its life. So every year is a bit OTT dont you think. The guage will tell you if it needs doing. Most just require a combustion check and trap clean and gas rate. Should take about 20 mins but the equipment needed is quite expensive.
