Anyone able to give me a quick run down on this? Do I just unscrew the sight hole cover, hold in the gas button and light?

The pilot light went out the other night and the electrical ignition thing isn't working. Were only in the house for another two weeks or so so don't want to be paying to get it fixed.

Hey we're just students, hardly going to pay to fix the landlords boiler lol. Would it be safe to go ahead with the method above?

Call your landlord. He'll pay to get it fixed

But its cold now lol. Suppose you're right don't fancy blowing the place up. Thanks for your time.

There may well be an underlying reason why it went out in the first place. Get on the phone to your LL, thats what you pay for. Good luck.
