I have a Baxi Solo WM 40/4 RS boiler, GC No. 41-077-48, which, until yesterday, has never given us any trouble. Yesterday we came home to find the house cold, no heating. Not the right time of year to have a freezing house. I found that the pilot light was out on the boiler. I followed the procedure in the installation instructions to light the pilot light. I tried for a couple of hours with no luck. About an hour after my fruitless attempts I decided to give it one more go and it ignited at first time of pressing the button. Voila, a warm house last night!
But, when we got up this morning the pilot light was again out. I have tried all day to re-ignite the pilot, but so far I haven't had any luck. Any ideas how to sort the problem?
