multibloc inlet valve connected up wrong

The outlet should feed the cylinder The expansion vessel should be connected to the part on the back side opposite the PG connection, not necessarily off a T from another pipe The balanced cold (take off) should come out the bottom and go to supply the rest of the house. The key point is that...

Suitability of tiles for bathroom walls

Porcelain tiles are faily bullet proof so should be fine. It says not for wet rooms on most of the BQ tiles. This is to remove liability from leak damage from poorly constructed and tanked ones

Do in-line extractor fans require maintenance?

Humidity outdoors in UK oct-mar can be very high, so its likely to be damp air coming in when your window is open. Usually there is a standard gap you need under a bathroom door to allow air flow. Saying that, I always have ensuite doors closed when showering as want as little moisure to get...

Porcelain Slabs on concrete base - prepping the slab

Trying to dismantle a shower screen

It has been siliconed down the length of where it slots into the frame, you can see it in the top shot Will be near on impossible to remove Regarding the seal at the bottom, you arent meant to silicone on the inside, but from outside only, so its not correct to say the original installer did it...

    Tile to shower tray

Thats right, I usually seal tray to backer board with stixall or similar, then add tanking, then tile, then silicone the joint after grouting the rest of the tile grout lines

    Tile to shower tray

Make sure your vertical sections are completely plumb, and tile the 'back wall' of the shower first and then tile up against that for the sides, with a 2mm gap Some would grout that corner too, I actually usually silicone it with a colour matched silicone, to prevent any movement cracks
  19. Y

    Tile to shower tray

Yes you're on the right track I put the 2mm tile spacers sideways in between the tiles and the tray. Leaves a 3mm gap
