    LED lights failing

Update. After some email dialogue with the lighting manufacturer, a 5uF capacitor across the transformer secondary has fixed the issue. No buzzing or failing lights. Thanks all again.

    LED lights failing

Yep, although there is no neutral easily available.

    LED lights failing

The fittings have failed with nothing else starting or running, either on this equipment or elsewhere in the building so I think I'm ruling out voltage spikes or variations. I might look at what filtering I can fit after the transformer, and give the transformer supplier a call, might be a...

    LED lights failing

On a project where I have got 8 off 300W LED fittings on a radial circuit from a 400 to 230V transformer. The fittings are 230V supply, and keep failing either straight away or after a short time, except the one nearest the transformer, which is fine. The fittings also seem to hum, so maybe a...

Do we try to guess what those suggestions are? RCD protection?

Underground electric gate motor control advice ?

I'm guessing there are regulations for electric gates, and that you have a duty of care to people using the gates, and that lashing a panel from a roller shutter door onto the gates without the appropriate safety devices and design doesn't quite meet those requirements. I've no doubt I could...

Shower Pump Under Bath with an UK 3Pin Plug with FCU

Is there not a requirement to comply with 552.1.2 in the yellow book, or does the motor have built-in overload protection? Just asking, I don't know for sure, although I would assume there is a requirement to comply.

    Industrial round plugs (16 A/32 A)

Off-topic.....Currently working on a project with 3 phase + N + E blue c-form connectors.....didn't even know they existed prior to starting the project. The project is in Japan, where mains supply is 200V three phase, either 50 or 60Hz depending on location.

    Ceiling Downlights

I would think it cheaper to patch up the ceiling and fit a pendant than buy more downlighters. A bit of plasterboard, timber, filler and white emulsion.....job done. Probably some MF boxes too.
