Thanks. I was hoping to fix straight to the wall. I wanted to get max thickness of insulation with the least impact on the room size I have heard about some special fixings which can be screwed straight into the wall but can't find them.

Hi I am going to add insulation to some Brick/Block walls. preferably using mechanical fixings. I would prefer to use plasterboard backed insulation around 60mm thick. for simplicity. Could someone advise me what fixings to use and what length please. Thanks Mike
