how much for digging and filling a footing

Hi all. The dig will be 1m deep x 8.2m long x 450mm wide. No pipe work or anything to worry about, a straight forward dig and fill. Concrete required will be 700mm x 8.2m x 450mm. All crap from the hole to be taken away. How much would I be looking at chaps Andy - midlands

    footings problem

My neighbour lives in a detached house whereas mines a semi, so getting them to agree to an attachment is very unlikely, I wouldn't allow it if the shoe was on other foot!

    INSTALLING A 7X4 RSJ CORRECTLY

Mr G, Mr W The load is only a 3m x 2.2m high wall made of blocks so a 7x4 is plenty strong enough for that particular job. So, if the upstairs wall is sitting on the joists then needles will not be required. The only thing which will possibly happen is a few bricks coming loose and a...

    footings and slab

I am currently using this diagram http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/constructiongroundfloor.htm as an indication of whats required. Its the fact the concrete slab is placed so high above the ground level which is worrying.

    footings advise pretty please

i shall beef that sucker up, lol The footings will be going directly on to clay. It will be a garage with no secondary floors so the only load on the foundations will be 1500 bricks and 200 blocks plus the pitched roof 300 tiles ish

DAMP HAS JUST APPEARED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Q1: new felt was tucked under existing (2nd row) felt, so any water running down from the ridge would flow into the gutter. Q2: roof is standard semi detached with apex to the side of both houses. No velux or pipework. Q3: plumbing in loft is for the shower but no leaks on joints or...
