    Tile adhesive.

I haven't actually got any adhesive yet. Don't want to get it until I know I'm close to needing it, due to shelf life. I have been looking around, but can't actually find a suitable adhesive that isnt rapid. The one I have seen specifically says not for use on porcelain...? Cheers

    Tile adhesive.

Hey guys, I am just planning my new bathroom, and the tiles we've been looking at for a while came up half price, so picked them up a couple of weeks ago. They are 300 x 600 porcelain. http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Eden-Grey-Glazed-Porcelain-Floor+Wall-Tile-300x600mm/p/143344 The packaging...

    Large tiles advise please.

Hey guys! We are currently planning out the new bathroom. We've had our eye on some tiles for a while now, and noticed they are now half price, so I picked them up yesterday! They are 600 x 300 x 7/8mm porcelain, which weigh 23kg per m2- (obviously plus adhesive) Now I know I'm limited by...

    Drill size for lighting cable

please make sure whichever way you do it, that there is nothing the other side of the wall that you're drilling. Got called out last week after a plumber drilled his 10mm pilot bit inside to out, smack bang (literally) into the main service cable!

    Structural engineers...

Thanks for the advice. I have had a think regarding sending them pictures etc but to be honest, I'm quite worried about missing something out, so would rather they see it for themselves. On top of that, I would like to discuss my options with them direct, as in my head I think we could do it...

    Structural engineers...

    Structural engineers...

Hey guys, I'm currently looking for a structural engineer to come out to discuss the removal of 2 internal walls and draw up and calculate as required for building regs. I've spent the last 24hrs emailing all the local ones, but they don't seem to come out without a payment! I thought it...

    Whirlpool bath- where from?

Blimey alright!! Actually you said that better bathrooms would be best for cheap, and I stated that budget wasn't in question here yet. So it would be good to know the top end as well as where to avoid at the bottom end. Could you expand on the bathstore as per my questions in post above...

    Whirlpool bath- where from?

Ok so done a bit more searching and found a couple or standard baths with 25year warranty but not sure about the whirlpool so will need to ask them. I understand the pumps etc would have a shorter lifespan but surely they can separate warrantees for bathtub and pump etc. So after hearing the...

    Whirlpool bath- where from?

I don't have a budget in mind yet, although I've seen some baths that cost £800, that seems a lot to me, but until I know what things cost I don't see much point deciding how much to spend. Is bathstore stuff that bad then? It seems Everywhere I look then google it comes back to people on...

    Drones or quadcopters

What did you go for? I was thinking about getting one last year, but the restrictions on flying them stopped me. A guy at work has one and the pictures he gets are pretty amazing! He's going to bring it in for a play.

hey guys, Currently looking at bathrooms, and after reading around I've got the impression that I need to be careful where I get the bath from! I'm looking for a P shape one, and now possibly a whirlpool type one! The bathstore standard baths come with 10yr warranty but the whirlpool ones...

Where could I put my stairs?

Thanks for the replies. Yes there is a back door, but it's been cut Out of that image. It's currently in the kitchen, but would probably make the window in the big bedroom into French doors if that wall was to come out. I did mean the stairs to start at the back wall, and go up towards the...

Where could I put my stairs?

Hey guys. Eventually we will go up into the loft of our bungalow, and recently I've been thinking of where the stairs could go. I've only come up with one location, and that would be to knock the big bedroom into the kitchen to make a kitchen diner, and put the stairs in the top right corner...

    Soil pipe- will this work?

Sorry, I missed you out. We've got various reasons for it, my main one is for room down the drive, it's quite narrow and The 6" that it takes up would be amazing to gain back.

    Soil pipe- will this work?

Yes I thought that, a 'long radius bend'? It would then attach to where to toilet goes down now, then how could I attach the new toilet? ( pretty much where it is now) It is vented, the picture that you can just about see the stack, just goes up another meter from there. (This is a...
