I'm not actually sure it is water hammer, but could be some fault in the water main. It's some kind of pressure surge that happen every couple of minutes 24/7. It's driving me mad, keeps me awake when mains water is open. Have to shut of the mains supply at night to stop it bothering me.

I've reported it on there to no avail. The worst vibrations happen when they hit the man hole, its like mini earthquakes the whole flat shakes. There is little other vibration from the passing traffic, only when they hit the man hole.

I'm trying to remove my shower tray, but I can't unscrew the trap. Could someone kindly give me a tip on how to remove it? If you go to 38 seconds at the below video the guy has some "shower trap removal cap" I've tried looking for one on line but I can't find one anywhere.

I'm thinking now about moving the tray, but as the walls aren't 90 degrees I'd need to undercut one wall. Any tips on how to do that?
