    Sealing shower tray

I could under cut the walls so the tray sits under the tiles, but I don't know how to do that, if someone could explain how I could do it I might attempt it, as the general consensus is that is the best long term solution.

    Sealing shower tray

It has been previously suggested to me to under cut the wall so it hangs over the tray, put in shower paneling to build out the wall, or put in window trim around the gap. The two walls are not exactly at 90 degrees, so who ever fitted it, didn't fit it properly. I've decided to go down the...

    Sealing shower tray

I wonder if anyone can help with my query? There is a gap between my shower tray and wall as shown in the picture in the previous post. I have bought window trim which I shall use to protect the gap which I will seal with silicone. What I'm unsure about us what to fill the gap below the...

    Sealing shower

In the photos there is some kind of putty/clay stuff that is filling the gap between the tray and tile, this filling is kind of dated so I was looking to remove it and possibly replace it with silicone, then put the window trim on top of the silicone. Does anyone know if it would be better to...

    Sealing shower

Do you reckon something like the item in the link below would do the job? Have you used this window trim method before? If so have you ever had problems with it? It looks like a simple method that would be a lot easier than the other methods suggested...

    Sealing shower

Yeah I'll have a look at that option as well. It might not be that much more expensive either, the walls are going to have to be redone anyway, so might as well remove the tiles and see if I can shift the tray against the wall. It'll take longer, but I'm in not in a rush to have it completed...

    Sealing shower

I'm thinking of going down the line of putting 11mm shower wall panels on top of the existing tiles so that the water drips onto the tray. Removing the tiles and undercutting the walls etc is a bit beyond my DIY abilities and would be more expensive. The gap between the tray and tiles is 1.6cm...

    Sealing shower

Thanks for the replies, I'm investigating the option of adding the wall panels as the solution, I've never done anything like this before myself so it's a bit of a learning curve. Can I add the wall panels on top of the existing tiles or would I have to remove them? My flat has two showers, I...

    Sealing shower

Any idea how much it would approximately cost to do that work? You reckon slapping down some silicone won't be sufficient?

    Sealing shower

I'm needing to reseal my shower but I'm not entirely sure how to go about it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a way of doing it? There is a gap of about 1.6cm between the shower tray and wall, there is some time of putty/clay that is has previously been put into the gap, this has...

    Loft Storage

Thanks for the feedback. I've decided against my shelve plan, it's not worth the risk of damaging the roof to store some junk.

    Loft Storage

Good evening, I've got a question regarding loft storage and was wondering if anyone could advise me. To make more room in my loft I put 18mm sheets of plywood between the rafters where they form a V shape. I haven't secured them in to the rafters in anyway as they quite stable without being...
