Great thanks Conny, so you pull a cord together with the 1st cable and leave it in, I was genuinely wondering how it was done. Easy when you know! Any special kind of cord? Nylon fishing line?

I'm about to bury armoured cable, armoured ethernet cable and mdpe water pipe running from my house then under a kitchen extension, under patio and lawn to an outbuilding, total distance about 20m. The posts I've read here only seem to consider the electric cable but not the water pipe together...

    Footings and Water Table Problem.

I've dug a footing 1m deep from ground level for a kitchen extension but hit the water table. Overnight the bottom of the footing has about 5-8cm of surface water coming through! How to install Water and Electric utilities for an Out House.

Thanks for the reply Blub. Maybe I was wrong calling the building an outhouse but I intend installing electric heating and water so I feel 4mm swa is too low, I was thinking 10 - 16mm, I might install an electric hob later also. I'm building a 5m x 5m brick studio and I wont be using gas. As for...

Hi, I'm building a granny annex/art studio in my back garden and need some advice on how to connect the Utilities (electrics and water) from the our main building to the annex, approx 20M away. The water/electric and the drainage are in two separate trenches. I found the following videos on YT...

Yes, was working fine like this for years and then suddenly after being off for a few hours the CH stopped! Are you saying it simply reset itself?
