Which is why I am going to fit the HR20's in the lounge and bedroom/en-suite, both of which have 3 rads each, these being the areas in the house which require localised timed temperature control. Thanks Tony.

Yes, disconnected. The gas/air seems to increase more when system is running. We have just been away for a week, and very little expansion occurred with the boiler on the froststat, so it probably didn't come on during the week.
