    Cement causes it, usually short term problem. You can use a diluted cement acid wash to clean it ,but better to allow it to go naturally.

    They look like Richmond buff to me, 450x450x32 If they are Marshall's ,you can get them at any Travis yard. They need laying well for a drive and on a solid base or they will crack . Ideally look for 450x450x50 or 60mm thick for a drive

    When I drove my hired 1.5t mini diggers I used a grab lorry. So have you got room for a large heap of soil.. Normally you dig the area where you stock pile the spoil first, dig back and then move it to where you've dug out.. Then add to it. I reckon you will need 2grab lorry loads for that. So...

    You can lay them as a tile, or with wet mortar. As long as its solid it will be good, cost may be a little prohibitive with tile adhesive but shouldn't be too bad in the grand scheme of things.     If the solid base is wrong I,e too high you would need to correct that. If you can lay on a full mortar bed with PVA added to the mix, ideally laid brick laying mix wet with a plasticiser so you get good suction.
