    Hello people im stripping my small bathroom and am just looking to skim and paint. My plasterer is in hospital at the minite.i was wondering could a total plastering novice skim the room,not ceiling,by just watching youtube videos.or could it go really really wrong for me. How hard is skimming.

    Quick question.im stripping my bath out today and there are no cut off valves.im planning on switching water off and capping the hot and cold.what size end caps would i need for these please so i can amazon prime them.or could i just put the taps back on temporarilly

    Well my brothers having a fridge and microwave in room.so its kinda going to be a bedsit type deal.so im installing an argos athea sink unit..ideally id like a smaller 1 but thats the plan.

    Ive given it 2 coats of brilliant white but ive got the odd lap up here and there ,is there a solution for this or should i just live with it as im not a pro decorator..

    Dammit,the 2 twin sockets never even crossed my mind,i was a sparky for 5 years as well,duh dammit i want to chop them in now,might get a disc cutter from work tomorrow an put fancy sockets in :mad:

    Update: All liner wallpaper done and wallpaper joints filled with red devil filler off amazon and a plastic credit card..got a massive tub of brilliant white paint from b&q for £12. Ill prob start painting next week,see what happens..:evil:

    Yes stealth ive decieded to paint it all white,as i realise white really changes the room from a dingy hole it was previously,couple of coats of decent matt emulsion i soppose,i mean ,its paint,right,what can go wrong..(y)

    Yes i did plumb cumming out of the corner with the next sheet,but cut into the corner,rookie mistake ill admit,now ive gotto make good the corners,might have to use caulk or something..:confused:

    Ive navigated the corner,this corner is a bit rough could i use decorators caulk to round it off anyone..cos its not perfect..

    Im not doing that bad thanks for the advice,im heading for an internal corner,oviousley square room,do i cut into the corner and re plumb line the next wall,or paper round the corner and just keep going .. Thanks for the help..

    Ok thanks people.iv sized the wall with pva and water and am planning on hanging the 1400 vertically and i got a roller and roll the seams.. See what happens i soppose,ill use scissors i think as no new blade.. Thanks

    Thanks opps great advice.. So ive been looking at b&q website..if i bought 1400 liner paper and laid it vertically..i could just paint that how i wish and that liner paper takes the paint ok.. And thanks for the help..

    Ok thanks is it true a couple off mm has to be left between each sheet of lining paper,i saw it on a youtube video..
