The garden wall has always been there .... this is a new problem over the last 6 months. There's no cavity The damp is the dark patches ...there's no sign of damp around the inside of the window reveals. No the chimney breast is fine Yes I've been under the floor, the joists are fine ...

None of the windows have drips or bells .. this is the only wall with a problem.

Thanks for the reply ..... It's not rising damp though it's pentrating. The damp patch is about 6ft from the ground level. I can't for the life of me find the cause ....

Hi all, Most of my vicorian house has been pebble dashed and painted white ... however there are two gable walls that have got that sharp render stuff you put on with a roller ( think its called tyrolean ?? ) .... anyway the rest of the house is fine but one of these walls has penetrating...

So I assume ventilating the space further will just make it worse ? Its over the bathroom so I guess thats the problem I have had an extractor fitted last year but its an old house so there's no vapour barrier

I found a few of these bugs in the attic there looks like some wood damage. There are signs of some is historic ingress but there's no sign of wet timbers now, just staining so it's not a leak .... this attic space is however over the bathroom and may possible hold moisture due to storing some...

guess it will look something like this ... would love to see a painted up version really ..

Yeah thats the tricky bit .... I was maybe thinking we could stuff it with rockwool and batton it over ? then mesh it ... I just can't visualise how its going to look.
