As a follow up, the plug was new when I inserted it in to the socket, and as it was in the loft, remained untouched until yesterday when I removed it.
I've informed the company that supplied them, as I believe they may be dangerous.
Will that not get caught in the mechanism when the door rolls up? Or does the door stop short of rolling entirely up? Sorry, I've not fitted the door yet either!
I suppose that is a good point, small items like tools, by the time the windows have been smashed it's too late... I'm not sure how I'd fit a contact to a roller door though?
Following on from my previous question about shock sensors in wondering if I should protect the whole garage with a decent dual tec pir instead?
I've got three fixed pane windows, pedestrian door and a roller shutter door
I'd appreciate some thoughts on what is best, one pir or shocks &...
Hi
I have a 9751 and is like to wire up a dual tec pir and three shock sensors to my garage, can I wire these on a single 8 core cable? I ask as I'm about to dig a trench to put cable ducting in from the house to the garage
Thanks
I'm looking at the same setup and wondered about this:

I have an old sun flood style discharge light that I'd like to control with a photo cell and mechanical timer, however the time states it requires a contactor when used with discharge lighting - this is not something I'm familiar with, could anyone advise what I require and how to connect this...
Thanks, I'd thought of that issue and the handset is in clear line of sight of the gates, along with the mandatory photocells being installed and hate force set to low
Is it possible to integrate the my house gate opener with my enterview 4 intercom system to allow the opening of the gates from the intercom handset?[/list]
How far is it from your property? Are you able to change the lid for a sealed one (if that is possible) or could you re route the vent down wind? Have you spoken to the manufacturer to see if there is any advice they could give you?
How recently was it installed? I was under the impression (currently researching the options) that the biomass had to build up and there would be a time before that there might be some smells.
