Walls are cement walls so very dusty drilling took place. Copper wiring was removed though looking at them they seemed in good condition. They were not threaded through 'pipes' but now wiring is. Hopefully no probs for the next 10 yrs.

I was tempted to just rewire with existing sockets in same place but because i wanted some doors to open the other way i decided to go the whole hog. Also electrician would not give me a cert in this case. Opted for 45cm from floor for sockets and 120cm for switches. At least if i want to sell...

Is it just a pipe dream that wooden frames and stairways can be reconditioned to be as good as new( almost)? Paint has been flamed off but i am not confident that filling and sanding will achieve a ' back to new' result

Sorry for what maybe a very basic question. I have removed all rads. Will replace with new. Got a valliant combi system. Will an inhibitor be required once rads are put back on. Thanks.

Tnx for reply. Burst pipe gave me opportunity to reposition piping under floor boards which in turn gave me room to put wardobe in without necessarily needing to have it fitted around the pipes. Accident was fated to lead to smething better. Tnx again

Skirting board man punctured my pipe to radiator. Big. leak. Plugged pipe but to be reattached. Pressure went low. Back to 1.5bar now. got valliant combo boiler. What do i need to look out for? do i need to get ch serviced and need to top up with fluids. Confused. Thanks.
