    Stinky water in water butts

It doesn't matter how you use it, if the lid is being opened to the degree that a smell is known to be present, then you can be exposed to the airborne bacteria.

    Bolt through door handles

Yes that's just it. I nipped a few mm off and it clamps up night and tight. Should have been obvious at first, but I thought it was short enough to begin with. Just getting the first one fitted to check, then all of the back plate holes need drilling out and filling, then the doors painted, then...

    Bolt through door handles

I'm replacing all of my internal door handles with bolt through. I've done one so far but it still feels a bit loose, so I may need to use the three wood screws each side, which defeats the object in a way. Any advice? Thanks.

    Internal door painting?

The yellowing is down to the oil in the paint, not the finish - this could happen in satin or gloss. With oil/solvent based paints it's happened to me with satin and gloss, but with water base this won't happen at all.

    Internal door painting?

I'm using Johnstones Trade Aqua Guard in satin, brush marks do lay off well. I'm needing to do my doors next, have been thinking of the Two Fussy Blokes rollers for the doors and the same paint. The Johnstone's is 'open' for long enough to brush out any mistakes and runs and many say it's just...

    Purdy Sprig

Right, I'm back with a Wooster Silvertip 1". WOW, can I just say, wow. That is MUCH better than the Sprig. Stiffer bristles, so spreading water based paint into a nice thin layer is much easier, nicer lay off too. I will be buying more of these, the Sprig is now redundant. Wow, what a brush.

What are you having for breakfast?

Tomorrow I probably will have something, it's just I've so busy at the moment I don't even get time to think about food. When I'm so busy, over a weekend I'll batch cook meals that I can reheat in the microwave, like a batch spag bol or something, all cooked from fresh ingredients, nothing from...

What are you having for breakfast?

I've got to go out to get something like a McDonalds. I don't eat that anyway, I used to, but for what it is it's now expensive. Later on I'll grab some toast, just so busy with jobs at home that I'm not eating during the day as I'd usually do....

    Purdy Sprig

I'd like another 1" Sprig, but can't find anyone stocking that size now for what ever reason that may be. What other brushes have that small stock/narrow thin tip like the Sprig? Is there a Wooster which is like the Sprig? Thanks.

What are you having for breakfast?

I only drink black coffee and always on an empty stomach. I've still not had anything to eat yet and now am on cup four.

Cat 6 and Wireless Access Points

My set up is a bit mad really, CAT6 terminated into patch panel, VPN router, managed switch, couple of servers, Ubiquiti WAP, but it's all great.

Cat 6 and Wireless Access Points

I use a Netgear Prosafe switch, managed, which is useful for if there are issues and I'm not here, I can get in and do things remotely with it.

Cat 6 and Wireless Access Points

I did this to my house, find somewhere suitable for a patch panel and a switch and run maybe two cat 6 points to each room. Ubiquiti for access points too.
