Thanks for the considerations, we don’t think we have the budget for a lift conversation unfortunately.

    New floorplan opinions

We are trying to look into options of turning our two bed Victorian terrace into to a three bed for our growing children. It would be great to have any thoughts or advice around changing the floorplan from the first to the second below where we are thinking to take some space from bedroom 1 and...

This is an interesting thing for us to consider, not sure if the front two rooms would become too small as children grow but one for us to think about / thanks for this different consideration

Opinion on location of adding a toilet with new soil pipe needed

Thanks for the thoughts- we know it is upheaval :( the children are very young (toddler and baby) hence needing to be on the same floor. Just wondering if possible and if there was any idea of costing to add the toilet upstairs in that kind of space

Opinion on location of adding a toilet with new soil pipe needed

We brought the house knowing we would need to move the bathroom downstairs to make it a three bed (this was a property we could afford in the area we need to be in) and so had budgeted for the bathroom to be moved downstairs already. We are just trying to keep a toilet upstairs and hope to put...

Opinion on location of adding a toilet with new soil pipe needed

We have a manhole cover out by the kitchen window (marked x in red in the picture). The existing soil pipe runs out the back of the current upstairs toilet. With the manhole placed here form your experience do you think this could be possible? And any idea on how big of a job this is/how costly...

Opinion on location of adding a toilet with new soil pipe needed

Hi- we are trying to figure out where is best to place an upstairs toilet when moving the main bathroom downstairs due to needing a third bedroom for our child. I hoped to ask people if they thought it could work for us to add a small toilet and sink in the bedroom 1 space with a new soil pipe...

Where would you advise fitting an upstairs toilet ?

It’s a Victorian terrace. The soil pipe is iron I believe and it runs from the back of the toilet out to the outside wall. I will look into the drains - but do like the idea of the toilet in the cupboard area of the bathroom in what needs to be bedroom 3 if tha could work with a soil pipe, maybe...

Where would you advise fitting an upstairs toilet ?

Yes that wall is a party wall onto our neighbour, the other side of the house is just our wall as end of terrace on the opposite side of the house to the staircase

Where would you advise fitting an upstairs toilet ?

Thanks for the advice- if doing option 3 which I think could be best it means we would have to have a macerator apparently as the soil pipe runs into the back of the house out behind the toilet in the current location. Just seem to read negative feedback on macerators so a little off putting

Where would you advise fitting an upstairs toilet ?

Hey- downstairs is an under stairs cupboard and upstairs it’s currently a little storage cupboard but we are ok to lose this if it meant we could figure out this situation

Where would you advise fitting an upstairs toilet ?

Hey there, Hoping to gather some opinions as we are a bit stuck to know what our best option is. We brought a two bed house which we need to make a three bed for space for our childrens’ rooms. At the moment we are thinking to move the bathroom downstairs into the conservatory extension area to...
