    Strange Toilet Problem

Hi Chris defintely no trickling in the toilet when it makes that noise and once the toilet fills up there's no trickling either. Did you have a chance to watch that video? I don't know if you can hear that very faint noise before the main noise starts?

    Strange Toilet Problem

Hi Chris many thanks for your response mate. I took the plate into work around 6 months ago to see if they could fabricate me one out of metal and haven't seen it since, think they've lost it. It had two push buttons on the face but didn't have ANY identifying features on it. As for the...

    Strange Toilet Problem

Hi All, these forums have been really great in the past with some plumbers really helping me out, and I've now got another problem. The house we moved into last year has the cistern enclosed in the wall It intermittently, when flushed, makes continuous noises that occur every few minutes and...

    Difficult Door Threshold/Laminate Flooring

Hi Mate in my experience of taking the old flooring up the double boards actually INCREASED the bounce as it's got double the 'give' (can't think of the correct word). I laid over 60 SQM of flooring in one room (and got another 60SQM + to lay in another room yet) and I don't have ANY bounce...

    Difficult Door Threshold/Laminate Flooring

Hi mate I feel your pain, I was driving myself crazy trying to think of a solution to the problem. In the end I spoke to a couple of laminate flooring installers and double glaze doors installers and they both said to cut it with the required expansion gap and fill it with sealant. I questioned...

    Leaking sink waste

There were two issues with mine which caused the flood, but im unsure which one contributed to the other. They were... 1. The bolt going through the top of the strainer No. 1 (left hand) had snapped away from body of the strainer. 2. The trap of strainer No. 2 had come away from the upright...

    Leaking sink waste

All Sorted! And not a single leak! Didn't even have to tighten anything up as did all the joints up hand tight and no leaks therefore didn't bother tightening anymore. Filled each sink full and did full dump of water on each sink. Also tested the overflow by filling up the sink and letting...

    Leaking sink waste

Hi mate im also confused by myself lol. OK I've taken all the old gear out now but I've attached photos the new setup below, just need to put the 2nd strainer in but I've tried the trap in and it all will reach, just need to cut the elbow off the waste pipe on the left and extend that up to...

    Leaking sink waste

Also we mentioned previously that the washer that slips over the top of the pipe leading to the strainer should be at the bottom and the fixed nut screws onto the strainer but just found the below photo? Does it matter which way around it is? What will be the most secure way?

    Leaking sink waste
