    Leaking sink waste

Can anybody please confirm if I've installed that blue blanking plug correctly as doesn't appear to be made of much and isn't that difficult to pull out? Should it be glued in or just pushed in? Sealant around it?? Pictures below.

    Leaking sink waste

Laughing at some of the humorous replies above but have to agree about whoever installed that needs a check up, and that's coming from somebody who doesn't really know much about plumbing. Ok so I've now got the bits as per the below picture, you may notice something that wasn't on the list? A...

Hi Johnny just to confirm if the U Bend will still be above the bottom shelf with no support under it the bolt going through the strainer from above the sink into the thread in the lower section of the strainer will.be enough to hold the trap up without it pulling away again? This is the way...

    Leaking sink waste

Hi Andy /Johnny many thanks for your response especially on Christmas Day of all days. Would you recommend replacing all that grey piping with the white compression fittings? If you have a look bottom left where the grey joins with the white waste pipe, it has like a white double coupler? Will...

    New 32amp Double Oven

Hi Sparkwright I cut off the ends as I've done all of the connections again (as per below photos) but thank you for that pointer as I probably wouldn't have thought of that unless I had noticed some visible damage. I've now got the new cooker in and all working fine! :)...

    New 32amp Double Oven

Hi Terry, out of interest, why doesn't a plastic backbox come with a strain relief for the incoming cables? The cooker socket I have has a strain relief for the flex coming out at the bottom (has similar to that as on a plug) however the backbox has no strain reliefs for the cable coming in...

    New 32amp Double Oven

Hi Terry, I will have to pull the double socket out and hopefully not damage the drywall in the process as the butterfly lugs on the sides aren't easy to get out on that box, what are the dangers of leaving it as it is? As there aren't any exposed wires and it isn't at any risk of being pulled...

    New 32amp Double Oven

Also that Wago box is now in the wall! I didn't strip anymore sheathing off of it, and previously it was the same but with a screwdown terminal block, therefore hopefully it's now even safer with the Wago clip connectors instead..... Therefore will it be OK to leave it in the wall without the...
