Multiple Bluetooth headphones connected to TV?

Not sure about using the built in Bluetooth but I believe there are transmitters that allow several receivers to connect. I use BT senders /headphones at work but all mine are cheap and only connect to one unit at a time.

Shed cladding in very tight spot?

Yeah, sensible way would have been to build the wall facing end flat on the floor first, then lift it up and build the rest off the finished end.

Shed cladding in very tight spot?

You could slide in a pre cut panel of sheet material that is pre painted or covered in a weatherproof finish. Maybe use hardboard templates to get the dimensions ? Even the stuff they use in showers - hardie board? I’d use the vertical 2x4’s as jointing and fix blocks to the sectioned sheet...

    Rechargeable light with pir

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B155DS8N?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details I bought one of these in early Jan to put into my front porch (on the wall) as it’s dark when finding the key holes. So far it’s very bright and works well although it switches off quite quickly once you go out of...

    Tapering fabric on roller blind

But only 1/2 a cm on each side. I guess that you could do it (cut at an angle) but loads of scope for a cock up. You may know that there’s a gap but the average person won’t notice. You don’t want it to exactly fit the reveal anyway as rollers do drift side to side a bit.

Doors at top of stairs landing

Why not? For one, regs don’t become retrospective. My house when I was growing up had a similar pair of 2/3 steps at the top of the stairs, my brother’s room to the right, everyone else to the left.

Fire safety - knocking through wall & bricking up doorway

Don’t know the modern regs but I’ve seen that done in loads of houses.

Blocking up internal window between rooms - brick or batten?

Bear in mind that if you use block work you need to allow for the plasterer’s coat so check with the plasterer how much depth you need to allow. The soundproofing will be better if there’s a decent skim/base over the blocks. I’d allow 25 mm on each side

Chipboard the tongue and groove edges

Ideally, fit them as a brick bond for extra strength

    Bitumen floor?

Could it also be the DPC? If so, repair it. My house had no other membrane other than the bitumen on the slab. (Obviously had a DPC in the walls)

Tooth brush charger in bathroom cabinet

If you’re cutting the plug off, you could screw the box to the wall behind the cabinet after carefully cutting the back. Often the cabinet is a basic frame with a glorified hardboard back so you’d gain 10 mm or so. Does the cabinet come off?

Advice getting aerial / Coax to TV

Can you drop the Co-ax through the old rear cavity wall? It’s a pain to do but you might be lucky and get a tracer from the loft. Or at least from the first floor. Or simply pay an aerial guy to run a new cable to (presumably) the back of the house.

    Flattening scaffold board desk

In order to make a sacrificial tool for a job, I bought a black and decker used electric plane on eBay for less than £20 inc P&P You could buy something, use it and sell it on? Electric planes are scary, only hold the top and use it adjusted to the lowest setting to get used to it

    Hinges for 25mm thick skirting

Is the door for occasional use only? You could fit the skirting with pop off fixings or magnets. Mirror plates might work? Two screws in the door mid skirting level. Mirror plates slightly recessed into the skirting board. Lift the skirting upwards and it comes off - push it back on and down...

    Flattening scaffold board desk

You can buy a powder in a “puff” intended to replicate a mist coat for car bodywork. However it could stain the boards (?) That would highlight high spots and low spots if you insist on a sander. The best way would probably involve a router sled. This is a track on supports that bridges the...

    New skool phone wiring

An issue that we have at work is that we moved to VOIP a few years ago, which disabled all our POTs system including all the emergency phones. We simply no longer had working telephones as it was all on TeAMS. But no available phones that anyone can use. Plus the new building opened in 2023 is...
