    Fan has two pin plug

I have a plastic pedestal fan that has a two pin plug. I’ve been using a 2 pin to 3 pin adapter. I was wondering if I can just replace the two pin with a regular UK plug? Is that safe to do? I assume the fan only has a live and neutral at present and didn’t know whether the adapter provides...

    Roller to paint decking

I’ve previously been applying deck paint using a brush and it’s been a time consuming process. Seen a YouTube short where the chap is using a roller on a pole. I have the pole but wondering what type of roller I should use?

Does that explain why I can blow straight through this? It’s a hollow section of small curved plastic pipe at the moment.

    Leaking shower component

When I switch the shower on, water trickles out of a small black outlet. I unscrewed it and it has a rubber grommet which appears to be fine. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Neon light stays on

It was indeed the cables that needed switching around but in the electricians defence, there was no “supply” or “load” printed on the terminals. It was an MK 2 gang switch.

    Neaten this pipework

The builder put the rad in originally but there was a leak and that was British Gas, with the compression fittings and busted wall. The rad is centralised. The centre of the rad is exactly the centre of the window. I wasn't sure what you meant.

    Neon light stays on

I've got something similar to this for an electric shower. The on/off operation works correctly and supplies/disengages power to the electric shower. However, the neon light always stays on. I've not looked inside yet. Can this be fixed or does the whole switch need to be replaced? Thanks for...

Can I safely solder in here? I need to extend these pipes down for radiator fitting. If yes, what can I use to protect the cable from the flame? Thanks in advance.

    Neaten this pipework

I think you are suggesting that both pipes come out around here? You can see that the current white pipe is coming out at an angle and I think that's because of the skirting board sitting proud of the level the pipe sits in within the vertical boxing. How will I be able to have these pipes...
